Engaging in therapy can be a rewarding experience, but the initial step is often the most difficult. Providing compassionate and supportive care is very important to Amy. Her priority as a therapist is to move at a comfortable pace in identifying your concerns and developing a treatment plan that best meets your needs.

Amy believes in working from a strengths-based approach while utilizing evidenced based treatment options. Whether you are working together on anxiety, depression, stress, or relationship issues, she wants clients to feel safe when engaging in care. Amy's therapy style is supportive, interactive and non-judgmental.

Amy has clinical training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), prolonged exposure therapy (PE), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). She completed both her Master of Social Work (MSW) and Certificate in Psychological Trauma at the University of Washington. Her advanced practicum work was completed at the Puget Sound VA Medical Center as well as the Harborview Center for Sexual Assault and Traumatic Stress. It was through these experiences that she found a passion for working with people suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder as well as complex trauma.
