WORK WITH TREC DC

We always welcome inquiries from clinicians who are interested in joining the TREC team as full- or part-time associates. We are looking for licensed clinicians who are passionate about providing culturally-humble, evidence-based psychotherapy for PTSD and other sequelae of trauma. Applicants should be licensed psychologists or licensed independent social workers with experience in providing trauma-informed evidence-based therapy.

As a TREC DC Associate you would have the following benefits and opportunities:

  • Referrals and initial screenings provided by TREC DC

  • Advertising and social media presence run by TREC DC

  • Flexible work schedule determined by the associate (taking client availability into account)

  • Opportunities for training/consultation in evidence-based treatments for PTSD such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and evidence-informed treatments such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i), Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills (DBT), and Written Exposure Therapy

  • Access to Microsoft Office 365  (Outlook with TREC DC email, TEAMS, share drive of therapy materials)

  • Access to electronic health record system (currently Simple Practice) with telehealth capabilities. Access to a backup zoom account is also provided.

  • Opportunities to run workshops and groups

  • Opportunities to participate in community outreach

  • Weekly clinical case consultation with licensed therapists and trainees(Thursdays 12-1; ptional for part-time associates)

  • Monthly didactic trainings on topics pertaining to PTSD and psychotherapy

  • Currently a fully virtual position
