TREC DC's Mindful Mondays Workshop begins 9/13!

We welcome you to practice mindfulness and create community with TREC DC! Open to those completely new to mindfulness as well as those who have been practicing for years, TREC DC’s new (free!) “Mindful Mondays” workshop is designed for anyone 18+ who has experienced trauma and is interested in learning about and practicing mindfulness in a virtual community. Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention, on purpose and without judgment, to the present moment. Facilitated by TREC DC co-founder and clinical psychologist Dr. Lisa Carlin, each week will include brief education about mindfulness and the relationship to trauma healing and stress management, followed by a mindfulness practice and opportunity to ask questions and reflect about the practice. The workshop is free, and zoom link will be provided upon registration, with “drop-ins” welcome (no weekly commitment needed). An optional donation "ticket" is available for those able to contribute to helping TREC DC maintain the ability to provide low/no-cost services. These funds will be used to cover the cost of low/no-cost workshops, therapy, and training. Donations are not tax deductible. Questions about the workshop? Email us at admin@trecdcpsychotherapy.org. Hope to see you there!
